Raising a family is perhaps one of THE hardest tasks that God graced humanity with. Hard, yet fulfilling and wonderful. Raising a great child far exceeds any monetary bonus that a CEO could receive.
I feel like Palin demonstrates best how being a 'successful'

Just wanted to say that not getting totally behind the idea of the uber successful working mom who can do it all doesn't mean you're anti-feminist. Don't know what other ideas and beliefs you have that might make that moniker stick.
I like you too much to think you're anti-feminist. They're usually extremist wackjobs.
@BA - I am being slightly sarcastic. I'm not sure if it's anti-feminism. It's just the recognition that it's impossible to achieve business success and be an active (good) mother. While I benefit from women's fight for equality in the work place, I have also made the personal decision that I'd pick family over career in a heart beat. I don't think that unparalleled success can coexist in both realms. I can define success as I want to...but it won't be defined as being the C-level executive that never misses any of my child's activities.
I feel like some women would jump all over me for that sentiment. . .but to them I'd say that they are being idealistic instead of realistic.
Come to ATL and hang out. lol. that's a mandate not a request :-)
I DO need to make it back down to the A at some point. Its been years!
Oh, and I think that in terms of being a business success, that idea of "success" is variable. For instance, I'm going to be a lawyer but not a big firm lawyer. Some people think that's not success. I would find success in opening my own practice and just having a business to call my own, make my own hours, make a possibility for family.
