I'm taking shots for every black person I see at the DNC

I am sober.

3 shots. (Actually, I'm not...but I thought it'd be a great drinking game).

This tells you a LOT about how out of touch the Republican Party is with America. It looks like a party of exclusion. Like a KKK rally.

Sunfresh! I am so glad to find another Obama supporter watching this. What did you think about the adoption segment?

Sorry Midori - I really did switch over to indulge the 16 year old in me (90210)

OMG - they tried to liken McCain to Ronald Reagan...GTFOHWTBS.

The McCain adoption story reads like Angelina Jolie.

"Well it was primarily my wife's Cindy's idea. She was in Bangladesh and she and some of the medical personnel visited Mother Theresa's orphanage to try and help the children there. There were two little baby girls there. One had a heart problem the other a severe cleft palate. Cindy was very concerned about their ability to survive and their need for medical treatment, so she decided to bring them here for medical treatment. She fell in love with both of them. We decided to adopt Bridget. Two close friends of ours adopted Mickey, the other child."—John McCain

Did you know that people are starting to link Obama with Regan in regards to their ability to energize young people?

I briefly switched over to 90210 but it was in the middle of the episode and I kept thinking I was missing something at the RNC. While a Latino man was speaking, I can't remember his name but he is the godfather of McCain's oldest son, the camera men on PBS spotlighted almost every minority in the crowd.

Yeah, I'm sober.

They are so boring. Do you feel like they brought anything new?

The POW story was interesting. But doesn't qualify him.

I wanted to see the John/Carol/Cindy love story. American value FAIL = For better or for worse.

unfortunately, I'm not sober now!

While I think they needed to substantiate their points a bit more, especially that holly go lightly Joe Lieberman (he started to try to make substantive claims against Obama but he never gave any facts), I will say that the same argument was levied at the DNC last week. As a whole, these conventions are probably only intended to galvanize current supporters.

On the other hand, last week I do believe I left with the feeling that the Democrats had it in the bag. Unlike typical politicians Obama has handled this race with class and that is something I support.
