I'm an old lady..

Somebody explain this Twitter mess to me.

I'm already on facebook, this blog, another blog, my fav message board...

I don't know about another fad internet communication tool.

BUT - Don Lemon is on CNN talking about, "send comments to me at myspace, twitter or iReport."

Myspace - Hell No
Twitter - maybe
iReport - seems too involved, no

Under the weather

Been having a weird pain in my lower right corner.

It's different - not gas or lady cramps.

I have damn near fainted twice in the past 2 weeks.

Just need to chronicle stuff as it happens, ya know?

Taking it very easy this weekend.

I'm convinced...Voting McCain/Palin is officially an idiot's move.

After listening to the prank call played on Palin, I am convinced that she is not able or even capable of being Vice President....and I quote,

"I Enjoy Da Documentary Dey Did On Ya Life "Nalin Palin," said Prankster
"Awww well uhh thank you." Palin

That tells me that she has an utter disregard for understanding.

She is an idiot and not capable of speaking on behalf of the USA. Period.

You are an idiot if you would put the USA at risk by voting for this idiot. I can't be soft around the edges and deliver that any nicer. Her lack of international knowledge and even respect is not a characteristic of a VP. And I'm further disgusted by John's selection of her. And his complete disregard for the respect of more than half of the American public.

On a lighter note - if Bill Cosby were a real man, how could one man have such influential people come over just to visit and entertain his family. I think the only person that has that influence is Oprah.

Most recent letter written to a Senator

Greetings Senator Chambliss

Before I am offended by a statement that you said, I would like to give you an opportunity to explain exactly what you meant.

When you said, "The other folks are voting," did you mean me? A 28 year old black female living in Norcross, GA.

Who exactly are 'the other folks?"

I wrote this to Chambliss in response to the following:
The Republican is outwardly confident, but there’s urgency in his voice as he tours North Georgia, trying to boost turnout in his predominately white base: “The other folks are voting,” he bluntly tells supporters.

If you are also from Georgia, I expect you to demand clarification. You may contact Chambliss and demand that he clarify by clicking HERE.

A person that I don't personally know contributed to the Obama campaign in my name. THANK YOU

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

One last push - we are almost there. I know you've given, I've given at least two pairs of 9 west shoes, or a nice pair of jeans. And I truly believe that this election, Obama's presidency, is more important than any superficial material thing that I could purchase.

At the end of the day, I want no regrets in how hard I worked to educate others and promoted this candidate that I believed in.

I have HOPE with no regrets.

UPDATE 10.31 - I am $25 dollars away from my goal. So close, so close. lol

PLEASE :-)

UPDATE - I FUNDRAISED $525 DOLLARS!!!!! MY GOAL WAS $500. AT TIMES WHEN MY FAITH IN HUMANITY FALTERS - SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS AND MAKES ME WANT TO HUG EVER PERSON I SEE (that is voting for Obama he hehehe).

I've donated the equivalent of (separately, not together):

2 pairs of fuck me pumps
1 sexy-expensive pair of jeans
1 cute ass sexy dress from Arden B or Bebe
3 new Wii games
1 day of beauty pampering

So folks, I'mma be ugly - but I'mma be ugly and happy with hope!

One last call. We are in the last stretch.

Please dig deep and give to the BO Campaign one last time. This month has been tight, especially with my travels to Europe, but I'm going to give one last time at midnight when my paycheck is posted to my account. Click HERE to give one last time. $5, $10, $15...whatever you can manage.

Phone banking - What would you do if

Barack Obama called you personally?

Lol - I just saw the news where he personally called a few people.

I might faint if he called me!

What are you grateful / thankful for?

Every once in a while you need to step back and focus on the positive things in your life. Positivity attracts positivity.

So take one second and think of at least one thing you are grateful / thankful for.

I'm thankful for my mother and LND's friendship and unconditional love.
I am thankful that I voted...for a non WASP POTUS.
I am thankful that I have a flexible job and promising career.
I am thankful for a semi-monthly paycheck
I am thankful for.....;

Random silly thought...WIFE SWAP presidential edition

What would go down on a Wife Swap between Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain?

Michelle to John: John, WTF did you just say? I am not a drug addict like Cindy. You can't come up in here talking any kind of way with me.

Cindy to Barack: Umm, Barack, I don't know how to make fried chicken. That is what 'You People' eat, right?

Please feel free to get your laugh on and contribute other one liners that you'd expect to see on the show.

1. Michelle: WTF, John! I thought you were a maverick! What's with this missionary bullsh*t?!

2. Barack: I've never been with a woman who had fashion sense
Cindy: you can't afford me
vs.
Michelle: what, you don't like what i'm wearing?
John: i'll be able to raise my arms above my head before you'll ever learn how to dress.

3. John: So let me get this straight...You all call him Cousin George, but he's not actually related to any of you? he actually used to date your Aunt Thomasina...
Michelle: Thoma-SEEN, John! Thoma-seen....
John: Right, right! I'm sorry about that.

4. Cindy: I'm going shopping.
Barack: Where?
Cindy: Saks
Barack: Woman, this is a J. Crew household. We ain't got beer money like that! You better get with the program.

5. In bed:

Barack: Cindy, please don't take this the wrong way, but is that your front or your back?
Cindy: WTF are you talking about, Barack?!

vs.

John: What is this plump piece of flesh against my leg? I've never experienced this before...
Michelle: It's called a dunk, John.

Who would you want to be there?

Okay, so I'm 'working from home' and watching some TLC show called, "Baby Story." The story was about a woman who wanted to give a SILENT natural birth. So yes, I'm watching her squeeze something the size of a watermelon through something the size of a lemon and she is absolutely quiet. Breathing and looking very calm, cool and relax.

At one point you hear her voice over saying, "I'm not sure who was in the room. I know my husband and my sister..."

Camera angle flashes to her legs spread and the doctor peering into the deep abyss. Because it's censored television you see a little blur where her 'Lemon' is supposed to be. And it dawned on me, there are more people in the room than just her doctor, husband and sister.

There was her father, the camera men, and lord knows who else on the production team that isn't visible.

The focus is on her Lemon. Her squeezing a watermelon out of her lemon.

I got to thinking, who would I want in the room in one of the most personal, proud and difficult moments in my life.

lol - folks looking at my lemon. Perhaps women who have had children can say whether or not their lemon is less of a sexual object and more of a gateway to life.

OMG the baby came out - I'm crying. That is the most AMAZING thing that can happen.

LMAO

I hope karma brings Ted Stevens back as a Black guy from Detroit, and bush and cheney back as Iraqi children. - The Great LND
I'm a dork, but I really enjoyed reading this article, "Why People Vote Republican."

It's kind of long, but enjoyable.

Why can felons run for Senate, but felons cannot vote? (Stevens)

Why can a cowboy invade sovereign nations, 'in the name of Jesus;' but Clinton faced impeachment for lying about oral sex? In terms of morality, the invading sovereign nations is more offensive (to me) because it puts more people at risk and isn't a personal issue. It's a public issue that puts nations at risk. Then again, I realize that we all have our own morality thresholds. Bush lies to the entire world about public policy matters in which people die (have you read the Senates report proving this to be factual?) Clinton lies about his sex life in which a hussy gets called out and his wife is pained - but nobody dies.

What if the Obamas had paraded five children across the stage, including
a three month old infant and an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter?

What if John McCain was a former president of the Harvard Law Review?
What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?

What if McCain had only married once, and Obama was a divorcee?

What if Obama was the candidate who left his first wife after a severe
disfiguring car accident, when she no longer measured up to his standards?

What if Obama had met his second wife in a bar and had a long affair while
he was still married?

What if Michelle Obama was the wife who not only became addicted to pain
killers but also acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?

What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?

What if Obama had been a member of the Keating Five?
(The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption
in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings
and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s).

What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker?
What if Obama couldn't read from a teleprompter?

What if Obama was the one who had military experience that included
discipline problems and a record of crashing three planes?

What if Obama was the one who was known to display publicly, on many
occasions, a serious anger management problem?

What if Michelle Obama's family had made their money from beer distribution?

Educational Background:

Barack Obama:

Columbia University - B.A.
Political Science with a Specialization in
International Relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.)
Magna Cum Laude

Joseph Biden:
University of Delaware - B.A. in History and B.A. in Political Science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

vs.

John McCain:
United States Naval Academy - Class rank: 894 of 899

Sarah Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in Journalism

Education isn't everything, but this is about the two highest offices in
the land as well as our standing in the world. You make the call.

Sympathy...or not

I read a story today about a kid getting shot at a gun show.

No Sympathy. I have sympathy for a life lost - but I maintain that guns only purpose is to kill, so why are people surprised when guns succeed at their intended function? (I'd never get voted as president b/c I'd scale back the 2nd amendment a LOT - btw do you feel safe knowing that gun sales are up 9%?) Kind of like war - I have sympathy for a life lost - but the purpose of war is to kill or be killed. So I'm not really phased when I hear that soldiers die, I'm more disturbed when i hear that civilians die as a result of soldiers mistakes.. We need to stop the war if we don't want to hear about killed soldiers.

I also read a story about Gov. Sunny Purdue is going forward with a plan to create a $23 million fishing lake right outside of his home town. How awesome is that? Especially since Georgia ranks #2 in unemployment, funds for veteran housing have been eliminated, children/families are paying to play in public school sports. Yeah, how awesome is a $23 fishing pond. WTF. In SunFresh fashion, I went to the Georgia.Gov website and wrote an e-mail to Mr. Purdue saying how offensive I find this.

Sounds just like the man I voted for

Except, this man completely flipped the script and his opponent now

has this message.
